Veterans Affairs & First Responders Program

Veterans and first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs) are especially at risk for conditions like chronic pain and PTSD. Their jobs are incredibly demanding both physically and mentally.

Main Street Health’s Veterans and First Responders Program is specially designed to assist members of these professions in managing their pain and stress. Each participant receives an individualized treatment program made up of multiple therapies.

The professional team at Main Street Health works alongside primary care physicians and other practitioners to provide support to veterans and first responders, as well as their families.

Multiple Treatment Options

Participants in the Veterans and First Responders Program receive a personal treatment plan designed to meet their specific needs.
Our multidisciplinary approach includes:

  • pain management
  • occupational therapy
  • physical rehabilitation
  • psychological counselling
  • medical cannabis

A comprehensive assessment allows our team to determine which therapies will work best for you. Contact us to get started.

Peer Support for VAC Paperwork

Veterans and first responders can get financial support for their rehabilitation and treatment through Veterans Affairs of Canada.
Our peer support program connects new members of the Veterans and First Responders Program with those who have already completed the process for obtaining coverage. Your peer advisor can help you do the paperwork and generally guide you through the process.

Active members of the armed forces are also eligible for support and can take part in Main Street Health’s Veterans and First Responders Program.
